In some form or another, Wendy Lignell was “in” real estate long before even being a REALTOR. Having purchased, renovated and managed different properties over the years, she has always had some kind of hand in the industry. When the opportunity presented itself, she jumped to obtain her Georgia license and hit the ground running with Toles, Temple & Wright, Inc. in August 2019.
Wendy especially enjoys working with buyers, whether moving across town or moving from out of town. The bulk of her relocation savvy was gained courtesy of the U.S. Navy. She and her husband moved from Atlanta to Virginia, then to Japan. Upon returning to the U.S., the family lived in California and then Southwest Florida.
Although the Marietta native moved to Rome in 2014, her family’s relocation was a coming home, of sorts. Wendy’s great-grandparents, grandparents and father all lived in Downtown Rome before she was ever born.
Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Georgia. Her varied professional experience included a role overseeing the management of a multi-family property in New England, as well as multiple large-scale home renovation projects. After receiving her degree, she took to the skies of Atlanta in a helicopter as WSB Radio traffic reporter Wendy Weathers. She later worked on the other side of the sector as a certified project manager.
Outside of real estate, Wendy is passionate about her community and volunteering. Her hobbies and interests include traveling, architectural history, hiking and home renovation.
Wendy is married to Dr. Mark Lignell, an anesthesiologist at Redmond Regional Medical Center. They have two sons, Brock and Link, and live in the Horseleg Creek area.
