Randy Land

With more than four decades of experience in the real estate and auction sectors, Randy Land brings a wealth of local knowledge and professional expertise to serving his clients. His stepfather, the late J.L. Todd, was not only a legendary Rome businessman but also a highly respected leader in the auction profession at large. Under his mentorship, Land joined the J.L. Todd Auction Company in 1985, earning his real estate and auction licenses. He went on to serve the company as an officer and partner until 2021, when he joined Dempsey Auction Company. Before entering the world of real estate and auctioneering, Land worked as an apprentice electrician with Central Electric Company in the early 1980s, and then as a remodel contractor for the local housing authority.

Land is no stranger to Toles, Temple & Wright. Prior to joining the company in 2025, he had already built strong personal and professional relationships with several colleagues at the brokerage and had considered joining the company for years. His late father-in-law, David Barton, had worked as an associate broker at TTW until his retirement. Additionally, TTW associate broker Earl Robinson is Land’s uncle by marriage. So when he decided it was time to begin a new chapter and serve a broader range of clients in residential and commercial real estate, he knew exactly where he wanted to be.

Land holds real estate licenses in both Georgia and Alabama. His primary expertise is in selling land. Over the years, he has worked with many purchasers to buy and subdivide large tracts to meet a wide range of buyers’ needs. He is a graduate of the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering in High Point, N.C., and earned his Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation from the University of Indiana in 1993. Among his other professional affiliations, he is a lifetime member of the National Auctioneers Association.

Although born in Columbus, Ga., Land has called Rome home since the age of five. The Armuchee High School graduate lives in Rome with his wife, Amy, and together they have four sons: Connor (married to Sally Whitley Land), Andrew, Joshua, and William. Outside of work, Land enjoys spending time with his family and staying active — running, biking, motorcycling, and occasionally golfing with his sons at Barnsley Gardens Resort, where he is a member.
